At present, I am working on a number of projects. These include:
- Analysing sales and advertising of telecommunications products;
- Collecting ethnographic data;
- Co-authoring a book chapter on the use of IMC in the food industry to target children;
- Trying to understand insurance contracts;
- Writing my book, Selling Happiness;
- Research into the use of film to persuade smokers to quit;
- Research into branding arts and culture in Australia and Europe;
- Avoiding terms such as Generation Y, Generation X, and Baby Boomers (because they oversimplify incredibly complex attitudes and behaviour);
- Exploring the tribal nature of “difficult” brands;
- Examining the effects of implicit and explicit attitudes on behaviour, particularly amongst vulnerable groups, and,
- Watching “Arrested Development”, again.
